Hakuna Matata Yacht

A 2009 Couach yacht has been given a new identity through an extensive renovation carried out in two phases during the 2022–2023 period. Measuring 36.9 meters in length, with a GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) hull and a three-level layout—lower, main, and upper decks—the vessel features six cabins, main salon and dining areas, a spacious exterior main deck, as well as a sundeck with a bar, jacuzzi, dining area, and lounge.

The design focused on the aesthetic upgrade of the interior spaces, including furniture proposals, material selection for ceilings, floors, and vertical surfaces, as well as the redesign of the bathrooms, with the replacement of the mosaic with Corian (acrylic material). At the same time, new fabrics were selected for the shading systems, and all television systems were upgraded with larger screens. In the master cabin, an entire wall was clad in mirror, within which the new television was integrated, creating a clean, seamless surface.

Additionally, all furnishings—from linens to art de la table—were carefully selected to create a cohesive aesthetic throughout the yacht.

The central focus of the renovations was to highlight the timeless quality of the wood that characterizes the yacht, preserving its role as a key element of its identity. The horizontal surfaces were lightened through light tones and clean lines, while the orthogonal geometry of the volumes and furniture reinforces a minimalist character. The result is an elegant, bright, and Doric environment—a contemporary interpretation of luxury at sea.
