The SAN LORENZO ALLOY 40 is a 38.5-meter aluminum-hulled yacht, built in 2009, arranged over three levels—lower, main, and upper decks. It features five cabins, the main salon and dining area and galley, as well as a sundeck with a lounge area, dining area, and kitchenette, while the exterior main deck offers additional dining space.
The interior renovation, carried out from December 2023 to June 2024, included overall project management as interior project manager and design contributions to specific sections as a counterproposal or evolution of the initial concept by Garibaldi Architects. At the same time, materials were selected for ceiling and floor coverings, shading systems, and a large portion of the furnishings, while the decor and equipment—from linens to art de la table—were curated to ensure aesthetic harmony.
The refit’s philosophy was based on renewing and modernizing the vessel while respecting its timeless character, through new materials, structures, and infrastructure, an upgrade of the electronic equipment, and the repair of wear and tear. The minimalist design was enriched with iconic furniture from international brands and carefully selected pieces, imparting a balanced sense of contemporary luxury.
The result creates a fresh, modern, and timeless environment, dominated by an earthy color palette with subtle burgundy accents. The wooden paneling offers warmth, while the new bronze metal details introduce a contemporary character, reinforcing the balance between the boat’s authentic identity and modern aesthetics.
