SKIATHOS

On a hillside with unobstructed sea views, in the Kechria area of Skiathos, a complex of three residences (111.5 sq. m., 117.87 sq. m., and 148.29 sq. m.) blends into the landscape, following the natural slope of the terrain. The complex is arranged in a stepped configuration, allowing each residence to maintain its privacy while enhancing visual and spatial continuity with the surroundings. The sunken sections are integrated into the ground, achieving a gentle transition between natural and built space.

The materials—natural stone using dry-stone masonry, wood, metal, and cement-rendered surfaces—form a coherent architectural framework that also defines the logic of the interior spaces.

The design and coordination of the FF&E were based on the principle of continuity with the architecture, where individual elements are organically integrated into the space, without functioning as standalone additions. The furniture selection follows a contemporary direction with references to Scandinavian design and minimalism, emphasizing simplicity of form, functionality, and the purity of composition.

The simple geometries and understated presence of the furniture allow the space to breathe, while the use of natural materials—primarily wood—combined with soft, neutral tones enhances the warmth without disrupting the balance. The fabrics were selected from a limited palette with an emphasis on texture, contributing to a calm and cohesive atmosphere.

Styling was treated as a tool for organizing the visual composition, with targeted interventions that enhance cohesion and functionality. The furnishings were selected based on actual usage needs, integrated into the whole without aesthetic discrepancies.

The overall approach perceives the interior space as a continuation of the architecture and landscape, maintaining a unified language, scale, and sensibility.
